Guest guest Posted September 10, 2002 Report Share Posted September 10, 2002 Hi everyone, I have a question for those of you whose child is taking growth hormone. How long was it after starting growth hormone before you noticed an increase in appaetite and any associated weight gain. ( age 5 1/2, 28.5 lbs and 39 " inches tall) is growing with the help of growth hormone but he isn't gaining any weight. He has been on growth hormone since mid May. He has been at the same weight for almost a year. The doctor seems unconcerned, at the moment, but Janet is starting to make some noise about it and I too am starting to get a little worried. Otherwise, he is a happy, healthy little boy with a touch of poision ivy on his legs. One other question. We have been trying to teach the alphabet. He seems totally uninterested. No matter what we try or how we try it, he wants nothing to do with it. Yet he is curious about lots and lots of other things and often wants us to read to him but refuses to make any effort to learn the alphabet. Any suggestions? Thanks for your advice.
