Guest guest
, I'm not sure if I have the same experience as you, however, I got my 1st post-myo period yesterday, and I smelled it because when I had the tumor in me, my period smelled, like amonia. I have no other way to describe the smell than amonia or a strong cleaning fluid. It was really odd. I remember getting upset, about whether that was a permanent change or what, but now, the odor is 100% gone, at least this period it is... Is this what you are referring to? - 6 weeks post myo, going for a checkup on 9/19. > Hi all, something I've noticed post-myomectomy. Guest guest
Not totally, although I did notice that my periods (two post-myo) were much less dark, and less odiferous. What I am referring to is just a faint scent that I would detect, not strong enough to notice unless I was bending over while on the toilet to reach a magazine, and mainly it just seemed like someone else's smell, frankly. I remember being upset too, thinking " Is this what happens when you get older, you start smelling weird too? Am I going through menopause? Is it the fibroids? " It wasn't really an unpleasant odor, it was just different and seemed alien. And I sometimes thought it was just my imagination, until I realized that the scent was gone the other day. Congrats on your myo, hope you're recovery is going well!
