Guest guest
Caroline, I also think you are stressing your body with too many supplements and too few good foods. There IS such a thing as overkill when it comes to taking supplements. I only take Pregnenolone & DHEA along with my thyroid meds and am doing pretty well. I also eat alot of meats and try to eat fresh veggies but often am too tired to cook at the end of the day so many of my meals consist of just meat. I do try to buy hormone & antibiotic free meats! They cost more but the flavor & health affects are worth every penny. Most hypo folks need a high protein diet. Your Ferritin looks low, I think 74 is the number Janie recommends for a minimum. You can forget the TSH test as you have antibodies, and therefore, Hashi's. You numbers for thyroid all look low to me so you need to keep increasing your meds slowly as you have been. If it were me, I would only go to a GP for the other health things you need and not even mention the thyroid. Just stay on the generics and do as you have been doing. You will get there, but it takes time. Artistic Grooming Hurricane, West Virginia -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
