Guest guest
Have a wonderful time!!! Hubby and I are leaving soon for a surprise birthday party to a friend we have not seen in years. We are looking forward to it. I know there will be music and it will kill me not to dance. I used to dance all night. Oh well, it will be fun. Everyone have a nice evening. barb ____________________________________________________ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here

Guest guest
I first learned to dance in school as a child. Tap and Ballet. Then I learned to swing dance with my mom and her friends. Then I learned all the latest Bop off of the Dick show. I had a partner across the street from me who practiced steps with me. He was the step son of Jackie Coogan. We had a good time. Then came the twist and killed off couples dancing. I did it all, twist, mashed potatoes, pony, everything. When I grew up I took belly dance. When I married my husband we wanted to take ballroom. (I had a little in an after school class in high school) It took us awhile to do it because of our work load and commuting. Well, we finally got to it. We took 2 lessons every week and danced every week too. We loved it. When my lupus got worse, I napped before I went out. Our dancing life stopped 7 years ago when I got cancer and all the other things started piling on me. I pine for my old life. I have been very depressed lately. The big jazz festival is coming up in May and I could only go 2 days last year and I rented a motor scooter one day. We used to dance from Fri. night to Mon. afternoon. Oh Well. From: minniemyno@... I was never very good at ballroom dancing, although I dated a guy who taught at the Arthur Murray School here in town. But, Motown...girl, lookout. My adopted brothers taught me to dance back in the 60's, and we used to go out as a crowd and have a ball. Oh, dear, we ARE getting older. LOL Now, a very slow waltz is about all I can manage, and only a few seconds of that. My parents loved to entertain their friends, and we used to decorate the garage for dancing for all their parties. Even got some of their friends to Bugaloo when they'd had enough wine. LOL I am so glad you had a good time. Some days are just GOOD. Loving hugs, MM
