My son did not do well on it. He was miserable, way more repetitive, etc. He was only on it for two days and we won't let him near it again. I hear that other people do well on it, though.

Does anyone give their child Vyvanse? If so, how are they doing on it?

Gave it to my son for a few months. He did ok with it. It lasted a little longer than the ritalin. But he gets violent outbursts when any of these add meds are in his system so we stopped them. We are now trying a more natural approach with DHA(fish oil).

My son was on it for a few months and I noticed he developed some tics so discontinued. Now just on intuniv, non stimulant and also incorporate DHA and doing fine.

My daughter takes it for ADD/ADHD no problems. My son had been taking Focalin

and one day I gave him my daughter's medication, the Vyvanse, by mistake. It

seemed to increase his attention so we switched him to Vyvanse. Over time we

noticed an upsurge in tics. We started taking him to a psychologist who

indicated that the increase in tics could be a result of the Vyvanse. We took

him off the Vyvanse and put him back on the Focalin and his tics have pretty

much stopped.
