Guest guest
Sue, My rheumy prescribed Darvocet to help with the pain, but I've built up a tolerance to the drug so it no longer helps like it used to. He's not able to give me any arthritis medicine like Humira because that will harm my kidneys. I've been doing okay without any medicine, but I still am in a lot of pain. Especially when I get up to walk. But I've learned to bear with it and hopefully one day he will be able to prescribe something stronger for the pain. Not to get things mixed up, the chemo isn't causing me any pain. It's just the arthritis that comes along with Lupus. Some know more than others, but we all have a lot to learn about Lupus because it's forever changing. Often times I feel lazy because I just don't have the energy to get out and do things. I have to keep reminding myself that I'm sick and it's okay to do nothing. I vent all the time on this Lupies line. I think everyone's getting sick of me. It's just hard living with this disease. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. -. Re: Hi! I'm a new Lupie Hi !! I read your post...and noticed you said that you are going through chemo for your kidneys and cannot take anything for pain..you take nothing at all hon? I was just dnx with MCTD about 4 months so its all new to me. I know one thing...my body loves it when I do nothing!!
