The better organized you are and the more documentation you have of your condition, the better the decisionmakers will be able to rule on your case. Yes, usually lupies are denied one or two times before being approved, but, again, you have to be ready for that, patient, and persistent. A lawyer who handles disability is a very good idea, particularly in the appeals stage (after you've applied and been denied at least once).
