Guest guest
Hi there, I am new to this forum. In October I went in for a tubal ligation, and had some major complications. As a result, they had to do a large incision on my abdomen. In the process, they discovered a fibroid tumor on the front of my uterus. My bladder was on top of it, and they wound up cutting into it as well. Needless to say it was sort of messed up. I don't know the size of the tumor, but my surgeon used the term " huge " and said it takes up the whole front of my uterus. Why they didn't just do a hysterectomy right then, I do not know. I am terrified of more surgery and equally as terrified of embolism. I am trying herbs and diet, as well as excersize. I have heard that there are several new things that are being tried to combat these, one is the drug RU486, not available in the US, and long periods of ultrasound treatment. Does anyone know about this? Also, how do you get a doctor to figure out the size of your tumor? Mine seems unconcerned about it, but I am not happy with it. Sorry for the long post, I am just frustrated. Cyndi
