Guest guest
I often wondererd if I might have that- hasn't happened lately * knocks on wood*- but even as a child growing up - I would be eating hmmmmmm popcorn or something and my jaw seemed to go out of joint.......... it would be painful for quite a few days........... then after the pain began it was like my top jaw didnt match up to my bottom jaw. --------------------------------------------------------------------- " Are you still wasting your time with spam?... My name is ------------ I was just diagnosed with EDS Type IV this month. I'm 41 now, but have had jaw problems all my life, and have been misdiagnosed with TMJ. I wanted to share with you what has worked for me in the past - it may not be right for you and your daughter, but thought it was worth passing on. After several months and many failed treatments, at the age of 20 I went to an accupunturist for 2 sessions and my jaw opened on its own and the pain was gone within an hour. It only took 30 minutes for the treatment, and my jaw was 'cured' for almost 10 years! I have only had 2 flare ups since, and both times I went back to an accupuncturist and it worked wonders. I was not a believer in alternative medicine, but have to say that my mind has changed since experiencing it myself. I can't tell you why it worked, all I can say is I had lost 25 pounds (when I only weighed 115 at 5'10 " at the time!) and suffered for nearly a year before trying it - and now I don't think twice if it flares up! Guest guest
That happened to me the other day - I chomped down on an almond and out went my jaw - bummer. Fortunately I was able to pop it back in later that day. -------------------------------------------------------------------- In ceda , " concreteangel " wrote: > I often wondererd if I might have that- hasn't happened lately * knocks on wood*- but even as a child growing up - I would be eating hmmmmmm popcorn or something and my jaw seemed to go out of joint.......... it would be painful for quite a few days........... then after the pain began it was like my top jaw didnt match up to my bottom jaw. >
Guest guest
I remember once when I was small, and I learned about lock jaw. It really scared me for some reason. But, then, I somehow strained my jaw, and I got so scared that I had lock jaw. I was crying and trying to tell my mom what happened, but I couldn't move my jaw very well. She just laughed at me. I spent the next couple days opening and closing my jaw, just to make sure it wasn't locked. I remember it hurt for quite a while, but I didn't tell my mom. It wouldn't have done any good anyway.
