So good to see your post. What a terrific story you share with us. I

was so sorry to hear that your father needed hip surgery and his ordeal with

the blood clot and other issues. However, he was in great hands with Dr.

Mont. Doctors don't have to be warm and fuzzy for us to like them. I'd

opt to put myself in the hands of a highly skilled surgeon who goes the

distance for my continued good health then anything else. But Dr. Mont

does both exceeding well. Best wishes for your Dad's continued recovery.

Great to see you here!

I would like to add my 2 cents here in support of Dr. Mont.

My own dad just had a left THR (Stryker) on December 8, 2003 by Dr. Mont. It

was a rush job... meaning that when no other doctor that Dad had been to in

Baltimore could find anything wrong, Dr. Mont found the problem and squeezed

my dad's surgery in within 1 week!

My parent's are both head over heels crazy about Dr. Mont, his entire staff,

and the hospital staff at Sinai hospital. They were treated like they were

royalty.

Dad spent 3 weeks in the hospital as he developed a blood clot five days

after surgery.

After my dad went home on Christmas eve, he developed some pain that would

not go away. Several days later Dr. Mont re-admitted him to the hospital and

did several different tests. The treatment to rid him of his pain was an

injection. Dr. Mont kept him for another week and promised me he was

keeping him until he was well.

As Dr. Mont had my dad standing and walking in the hall, Dr. Mont CALLED ME

(in Mississippi) ON HIS CELL PHONE, just to reassure me that my dad was

going to be fine. He said he was more concerned about my mother getting

enough rest. I had talked to him once before, right after the surgery, when

he had given me his home number. I found Dr. Mont to be one of the most

caring doctors I have ever come in contact with.
