I am always interested in such things > I don't mind you asking at all. And those who have read this already can just delete it! When Putter was born, Lou began calling him Ox after a friend of his who was named Xavier and had Ox as a nickname. I never leave names alone so I called him Oxy, and sometimes Oxymoron and Oxytocin, but at last I settled on Oxy-Pooh, and then Oxy-Pood. Somehow, in the strange way that nicknames have, and much to Lou's dismay, I left the Oxy behind and began call him Putti, which some people seemed to think was a rude name, but which I considered to be just the plural of those little cherubs in Italian paintings. Then, around two, started calling him Putt Putt after Putt Putt Golf and Games, because, as he said, he was always putting around, and that shifted into Putter because as I said, he was always puttering with stuff and then it never worked again. Putter seemed to fit him and so there he stays with many variations: The Evil Mr. Putt, Puttman, Puttmandu (and usually immediately afterwards someone will say " But Puttman don't! " ) the Puttmeister, Mr. Putt, Mr. P. As for bunnytiner, Bunny was Enrique's toddler name. Bambi, short for Bambino was his baby name, followed by Bamber, followed by Bunny because one of his favorite books was Margaret Wise Brown's Home for a Bunny. And was Tiner because Enrique, at two, called him " The Tine Tine Baby, " for the tiny tiny baby. Later picked up the name Bootsie from a favorite cat book. Sophie has mostly been Sophie, but she has also been Sophonisba, Sofa Pillow, Soaphead. And Robbie has been the Robcat, the Robber Baron, Roberooski, Robalisk the Tormentor. Because he could not pronounce a " b " sound, and it came out like a " d " he is also called Rod, Roddy, Roddy of the Potty, Rod the Podracer, and Rod the Pod You Know He's Kind of Odd.
