just to say hello! and a update on me

Hello everyone,

Welcome back Becky, and a welcome to all the new Lupies, Garry,

Micha, and I'm sure there are a few others I'm missing, I appologize

for forgeting names.....

On wednesday I had to prep for a colonoscopy, which was horrible!!!

But, I knew what expect because I had this before. Two years ago I

had this done and they found 3 polyps (can't spell-better at math!!!)

they were benign. Because I have been having so much abdominal

pain, my doc decided to do procedure again, along with an

gastroscopy. I had these done yesterday and I had no polyps but I

do have serve imflamation of the stomach lining and esophagas which

he said is probably " lupus related " , no kidding! I have to go on a

high fiber-no dairy diet and take Prevacid, metamucil daily and if I

get diarrhea, imodium A-D. I told my husband that this should make

for a fun weekend! I also have stage 2 liver disease, either

autoimmuine hepatitis or primary biliary cirrhosis, they aren't sure

yet because first liver biopsy shows traces of both. I have to have

another biopsy done in 2 weeks. If it's gonna be something rare,

it's gonna happen to me! My doc feels because I have been flaring

so much that they need to see whats up with my liver because he says

I'm very tender in that region. He has a plan on how to treat this

but wants to be sure of what he's dealing with first. But on a good

note, I do feel pretty good today! and I'm looking forward to a fun

weekend.

OMG... ok, been there, done that.

BTW, went off the Prevacid because of migrains. Was told the GeRD

was probably due to the Celebrex... and used to LIVE on Imodium

(which I worried about my kidney's on, becuase... well, you don't

have to run to the bathroom any LESS, you just have to go for a

different REASON)
