Guest guest
Hi friends, I kind of know that the silvery glitter my son has in his scalp is from sweating because we can see the big different before and after he sweats. We washed his hair. the head looked pretty clean. It stayed free from glitter for a few days. Then it started to build up after he sweats. The glitter starts out kind of fine like dust and it becomes vary in sizes. Some are like dust, some are as big as glitter and some are like in between. He only has it on his scalp and may be a couple on his face but not on his hair or the other part of his body. So, after 3 weeks trying to see what triggered that and to screen out any environmental causes, we took him to his Pedi doctor today. He picked out one and looked at it with his " whatever-scope " and said it is metal. I told him the amount increase after he sweats. But he said it is physiologically impossible to excrete metals through skin. He said he was sure it's not from him but from the environment although I told him that we have tried to exclude the environmental causes. He said he doesn't know of any lab that would do testing to see what it is. I wonder if anyone know there's a place/lab that we can check it out to see what the glitter actually is. Kym metals excrete through skin? Hi friends, There's a strange thing happening to my son. I wonder what it means to us. A few days ago, my husband told me that he saw a couple glitters on our son's forehand around the hairline. The next day I went to school to have lunch with my son and found quite a few silver looking glitters in the scalp about both sides of his ears. He did not played with glitters at home and at school recently. The amount of glitters was increasing and they only stick to the scalp and none was found in the hair. We washed his hair on Thursday and I almost got all of them washed away. Then we kept checking him a few times a day. We started to see a couple more on Fridays evening and today there's like a lot. He has no exposure to glitters the last couple day and his pillow looks very clean. Some of the glitters are fine like powder and the biggest are like the size of real glitters. They are like " growing " in size and amount. We are suspecting that he is excreting something, may be metals, from his scalp. What do you think? Any input? What we have been doing for the last month are special carbohydrates diet and a supplement program from a herbalist. The supplement program includes vitamins, minerals, enzymes and some herbal stuffs to improve his overall health. Thanks for reading. (If so they probably need a doctor's order to do the test.) In addition to testing hair for toxic metals, they also test water. It seems to me that the process would be similar, but I say that knowing nothing about how it is done good wishes, Moria
