Guest guest
I posted some time ago that I found taking some aminos in the evening more beneficial than taking it during the day. I really don't understand why but for any of you out there like this you might find this interesting also. I began chelating with ALA and after a few days it seems to run my bile out of supply and I would take taurine during the day to help compensate. Really I don't feel like it is doing the best job so I began taking 1 taurine tablet at night. I noticed the next day that my stools were getting darker instead of lighter and decided to continue taking taurine in the evening. Things seem good but by day three, my stools became so dark they were almost black. I figured I had more than enough bile supply so I stopped taking the taurine. Days later still doing well and chelating. I come to wonder if taking taurine at night actually helps it to develop a full day time of activity. I read about how your liver phases can be different and don't know how this all plays in here but it might mean something. I first took taurine during the day two years ago for panic feelings and general anxiety. I hadn't needed it only a few times during PMS days. So I solved the anxiety problem which is a daytime problem. Didn't realize that taurine is also beneficial at night for day support. Liz D. Guest guest
Liz-- I don't know if it makes a difference but I think your observations are really interesting and certainly makes me wonder if there's a difference. When you took taurine in the evening, did you find that you actually had more/looser stool in addition to it being darker? I ask because my dd still has constipation issues and I'm thinking that perhaps we could try taurine in the evening/bedtime to see if it would have a positive effect on constipation. Guest guest
I still have constipation issues. I have been taking 1 teaspoon of milk of magnesia each afternoon to keep my system stimulated. Or else I will wind up taking a major laxative once a week. I do hope this small amount doesn't mess up my system but I am not moving alot as a full dose would do for me. So I don't think taurine increased or losened my stools any. Nor did it increase constipation. But who knows what it would do with a person with very pale color stools? It is a chemistry thing. Guest guest
I took it on an empty stomach before sleep. I notice that I get better results taking amino acids on an empty stomach. If you wind up with the need to eat wait 30 minutes.
