Guest guest
Sunni that is AWFUL! Those injuries could be devastating in a young person let alone someone your mothers age. It is easy for a DR to say to take it easy, but it isn't his Mom laying there. I think you should take all the help that you can and just be there to hold her hand and keep her company as much as you can, but don't feel bad if there are days that you can't because you wont be able to help her at all if you get to sick! Of course you are both in our prayers, as well as your son. Please take care of yourself, a
Guest guest
Thank you all my lupie sisters! I just don't know what I would do without you all! It is so hard to tell people who are well what it's like to have to push that extra mile while being sick. I know each of you have had your share of things like this happening to you, too. Doesn't it seem to always happen just when you needed rest the most?? I was already going into a relapse when my son had his accident. That night I was attending a banquet for my daughter and looking very forward to it being my last committment for a week or so. Then, that time got taken away with his fractures. The graduation followed right after and then some activity in getting ready for college. This past week the pericarditis hit before I could get any rest to prevent it. I had told everyone that when I got out of the hospital I didn't want anyone to ask me to do ANYTHING this next week.. no matter what it was. And then.. that phone call and it's over for who knows how long. My poor little mama has asked me at least three times in her pain how I am! How can I not be there for her? I just tell her I am find and fake it like always! But God only gives us what we can handle, doesn't He? So I am counting on Him hearing your prayers and helping me do it. I hope each of you are getting some rest, too. I had wanted to take the time to catch up on reading the posts to see how all of you are.. but that time went out the window. So please forgive me for my intermittent posts. You are all GREAT! This is the best support group ever and all lupies are lucky to have all of you! Love to you all, Sunni
