Guest guest
Hi: Did the chemist say exactly what the toxic chemical was in the GSE? Thank you. However, she used GSE with her child and felt it was safe. I have also read about safety concerns with GSE. We would use it, but it's useless here. [ ] Re: Is GSE safe? Dana -Not Dana here but we have been using GSE since May for both my kids and myself. Works great, and I have not heard of it containing any toxins. It honestly can't be any worse than one of the prescriptions for yeast. Many of which contain flavorings, and colors and preservatives. Guest guest
I don't remember what it was Jeanne, but you could search www.onibasu.com and just put in GSE or grapefruit seed extract and you will probably find the post. Again, she did say she felt it was okay to use and I also know Andy does not say not to use it and he's pretty conservative. [ ] Re: Is GSE safe? Guest guest
If you're looking for a chemsits view of GSE safety, then that may have been my post (Post No 181934). Basically, GSE contains benzethonium chloride. In high concentrations, it is toxic. But I did some calculations and I don't see it beig a problem for a child due to the low levels of this chemical found in GSE. I reckon it's safe and this is just scare tactics to get people to avoid natural remedies in favour of pharma compounds. Now that's where the real toxic issues start...... Liam By the way, I'm a " he " , not a " she " !!! > > > > Hi Dana: > > > > There has been some posts written about GSE not being Safe to > take? Is this true? Guest guest
Hi If you read on Nutribiotic liquid GSE bottle's label, it said wash your skin if it gets onto your skin ( & I think if it gets into the eyes, you have to wash it very quickly). The fact that 10 drops of the GSE in a beer mug of water can still make my throat uncomfortable (sort of caustic-like) makes me feel this substance must be given in the right dilution In fact if you have an old unused refrigerator that is not powered on, you'll find moldy smell/stuff in the fridge when you open it up a few days later. Using 10 drips in a mug of water, you can clean the fridge & rid the smell almost instantly, so this GSE concentrate is something that really needs to be handled with care. This reminds me of how diluted clorox is used to rid a marine aquarium/corals of the hardiest algae/fungus/bacteria. One article I read said GSE in the right concentration will wipe out fungus, bacteria & deactivates viruses ..... very potent On 12/23/06, Jeanne <jeannebee20032002@...> wrote: > > Thanks and have a great Holiday. > > Jeanne > > Cochran <Ladyshrink111@... <Ladyshrink111%40peoplepc.com>> > wrote: > I don't remember what it was Jeanne, but you could search www.onibasu.comand just put in GSE or grapefruit seed extract and you will probably find > the post.
