The first thing to look for with a sore tongue is low calcium.

How acidic is your system, look at what you are eating and taking - fruits,

Vit. C, Citracal, etc -

if your calcium is low or if your body is not utilizing it - your tongue

will be sore.

I have had problems with this all my life, (ofcouse there could be a hypo

connection as well).

The sore tongue - low calcium connection is why my O.D. had me to have a

bone density test done a few

years ago. He said a chronic sore tongue is a red flag for an overly acidic

body, which is often the direct

result of low calcium. The bone test he order showed advanced Osteoporosis,

with in a year of the diagnosis, even

though I was on Fosamax, miacalcin, and calcium, I had already broken a knee

cap.

This may not be your problem - but it is worth a look.

BTW, the Dr. really didn't expect to find the osteo, he just thought my

calcium was low. He ordered

the test as a precaution since I fit the profile for being high risk for

osteo because of early hysterectomy,

body build, hair color & complexion.
