Dr. Schawtzman, Kettimine,

Hi to all! I live in Levittown, PA. 2 months ago I called Dr.

Schawtzman's office to make an appointment with him. They told me he

is booked until 2006 and that they would contact me in 05 to set up

an appointment. I recieve the forms (many) 2 weeks ago and my

appointment is set for March, 2006!! LOL This was before he aired on

our local TV show. The day he was on TV I had an appointment with my

PC doc. He mentioned it was on TV that morning and I showed him my

letter from Dr. Schawtzman. My doc said " that is too dangerous,

they put you in a coma. Well, that shows how much docs pay attention

to RSD. Dr. Schawtzman does not put you in a complete coma, only

simi one. Well, anyhow, after I found out it wouldn't be until 06, I

called the doc that they told me was also FDA approved to do this

treatment. Come to find out it is Dr. Getson in NJ that has RSD in

his hand. WOW! So I have an appointment with Dr. Getson in March of

next year. I decided to call a podiatrist to have my foot looked at

as I have been having so much burning pain and swelling in it and it

is traveling up my leg and to the other foot. Come to find out

podiatrists don't except my Medicare Keystone 65. So this Doctor

said he had a doctor that he recommends for RSD and guess who it

was? Dr. Getson! Small world! I am going to make appointments today

for my anestesiologist (pain mangement),and xrays and MRI on my

foot. I told my doc I wanted my left leg cut off from the knee down!

my back pain is always a 7 to a 10. I know so many of you are so

much more advanced in your RSD and feel so bad. As far as what Amey

had said, I pray constantly for a cure for all of us. And HOPE! What

works for one may not work for another. I have passed on blocks

myself because any needle that goes in my back feels like ...OUCH!!

Hurts bad. But, I think that is only because the few that I have

had , they had hit a nerve. Any hoot, we all HOPE and PRAY for the

CURE. I will tell you all why they put this program on our local

news station. A news anchor in Philly hurt her leg and just found

out she has RSD. So, I guess we all had to wait until " someone

important " got it!! Figures!!! Sorry about this post becoming a

novel, but I have been keeping up with all the post and wanted to

jump in with this latest news. I do want to get the ketimine

infusion and am willing to be a guinie sp? pig for us. So If I zoon

out, I love you all!!! LOL I want to be a mom and grandmom and do

somethings and if this can increase my quality of life, I will do

it. Right now my life is Zoloft, clonisapam, 2 750 mg vicoden a day,

and heating pad, bed, pain, burning, and am now going to go back to

amatripiline to see if it helps my back and sleep. I love you guys

and I read every post! Chrissy, my prayers are with you. Pam, thanks

for the CHRISTMAS card! I will say MERRY CHRISTMAS to all and A

Happy Holiday to everyone that agrees with all this stuff about

taking CHRIST out of CHRISTMAS! ( Can you tell I ain't liking this

stuf? LOL) I am one of the 82% of Cristians in the US and I love the

other 16% because they are God's children. I just found out last

Christmas at my granddaughter's " Holiday Celabration " at her school

that they could not sing any songs thant mentioned GOD or CHRIST! I

was shocked! Now they are trying to take GOD out of the Declaration

of Independence! This world is bleak........ God Bless you all, have
