Guest guest
Hello, Today is day one of implementing GFCF diet. I have taken a great amount of time stocking my kitchen with a favority of foods in preparation for today. I suppose Miss Roben's is my new best friend. My husband and I are doing the diet so no illegal foods are in our home as well as we want to experience what are child is going through. My son has a dx of Autism and is 5.4 years old. Earlier today he said " get car go groceries " wanting to go shopping. Now he is asking for Graham crackers? Is there a decent tasting saltine type cracker and graham cracker? He does not like the Wasa Original Crispbread, & sons Tamari sesame or seaweed. His dies until today consisted of potato bread, american cheese sandwichs, french fries, Tositio brand Lime Chips, pretzels, grape juice and apple banana juice, cheerios and special K cereal with skim milk. If anyone has a child with similar cravings what did you find that was easiest for the taste buds to adjust to. I realize his taste buds will change. I have purchased and have the recipe for Moc mac & cheese. Which I plan on making but is there anything out there pre packaged. I am thinking for a child who has been able to pick something out of the pantry because he recognize's the picture and receptively understands this is what mom's cooking. Another question does anyone have an extensive list of foods with a high amount of Phenol , besides apples , dark grapes (are light grapes o.k.)and peanuts or can one direct me where to research PST further? Thanks in Advance. Wingo michelle@...
