Guest guest
MHNI is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. They have patients from all over the world. They do specialize in migraines, but they also have a general pain division. I have seen them for migraines as well as fibro. MHNI's phone number is . They have an answering service and there is always someone available to answer the phones. If you are short on money talk to them before you go. They make you pay for everything yourself even if you have insurance. It is your responsibility to submit it to your insurance company for payment. They have done a lot of good for me also. Guest guest
Hi, there! I also get migraines and am working with a neurologist to better identify them BEFORE they become debilitating (vomiting, light sensitivity, sound sensitivity, etc., and then the big inflammatory chemical dump that occurs when they're finished). There are many medications on the market now that you can take the moment you feel a migraine coming on -- and they DO work. The trick is to find the right med; ask your rheumie and/or consult with a headache specialist or neurologist to find what works for you. Usually, one dose is enough to stop the migraine in its tracks. Two that I have in my "arsenal" are Zomig and Imitrex. Both come in a variety of doses in easily dissolvable tablets and nasal sprays if you can't tolerate the tabs. (And both are prescription only.) Blessings, all!
