Guest guest
That's great ! Ice water for free?? You are SO lucky! I've never been to a fair, amusement park, or event where water was free. In fact, recently I went to a conference and a cup of water was 3.00! And if you can believe it, they actually opened the bottled water, poured it into a cup of ice and THEN sold it to us. I asked them, " can't I just have a bottle? " but they said no. What a waste!! I'm glad that pre-planning worked for you. That seems to be the KEY to successfully navigating parties and the like. Good job! in CO RE: So how was your 4th? I have been planning for the 4th (and 5th) all week and things went really well. I went to my mom's house last night and they had steak and corn. I only had a small piece of steak, which was good, since it's 5 pts. for 2 ozs of regular, non-lean cut steak. =) Then, we went to the Carowinds theme park today and both my husband and I were worried that this would tough. Well, there was a Subway restaurant there, so we were spared having to settle for a salad (which neither of us like to eat). =) Woohoo! Another great thing is that ice water is free at the stands, so instead of spending $3 a pop on a soft drink, we drank for free all day! =) So, I have to admit I got off a lot easier this holiday weekend than I had anticipated. Which was really nice. =) 175/157.8/
