Hi everyone,

Yes it is me, I haven't fallen off the edge of the earth honest! I am

so sorry it has taken me so long to reply to you but I've been having

terrible issues with my computer. I think the poor recalcitrant

machine politely decided it was bad form to appear healthier than

one's owner! Many thanks to Bonnie for passing on my little message -

cheers Darl :-)

I wanted to thank everyone for you support, kindness and

understanding during my bleeding problems. They do scare me a lot and

I can't tell you how much being able to turn to my extended family

helps me to get through my fears. Your wonderful advice and warm

words of encouragement and support make more difference to me that I

can ever explain. Thank you so much.

I've had a few more bleeds, the worst being from behind my left knee.

TJ, that photograph you posted is almost a carbon copy of how my legs

look right now! If I can get my computer and camera to start talking

the same language again any time soon I'll post a picture too. Thank

you for your words and thoughts Darl, they mean an awful lot to me

especially with all you are going through right now.

To the questions about cause and management, well when I saw Prof

Bird he seemed to think it is a vascular element of my EDS/Marfan

issue. He intends investigating and assessing it properly when I am

admitted down at his hospital for my full assessment stay, but due to

my upcoming shoulder surgery and splint/recovery time that may not be

until July or August at best now. I'm just hoping that these bleeding

problems don't cause complications for my lovely shoulder surgeon in

the meantime, I intend having a good talk with him about it and I'm

sure the team will keep close tabs on keeping me heamodynamically

stable.

I can't remember whether I mentioned about my shoulder operation

date - yikes my memory is getting as dodgy as the rest me! Anyway, I

go into hospital on the 28th April and have a left shoulder

reconstruction the following day for my multi directional instability

issues. I'm not sure how long I'll be in hospital as the surgeon

isn't sure exactly what he will have to do yet - but I will get back

on here or at least get a message on as soon as is physically

possible. I'm planning on getting some voice recognition software so

that I can still " type " during my 2 months plus splinted time...so

sorry guys, you don't get rid of me that easily! Hee-hee.

Thank you again for everything you do to keep this little Munchkin

from teetering over the edge of insanity. I can't thank you enough

and hope you know that I am thinking of you and here for you all too.

Love and hugs.....Jo

Great to hear from you Jo, and nice to hear you are doing Ok (well as

well as you can). Boy your surgery date is coming up fast. Good Luck

and here is hoping it all goes well and you are NOT in the hospital

too long and tht everything goes well there.

I sure hope your splinting time goes fast for you.
