Guest guest
My " technique " for this to date has been -- I use one (or both) hands to push inward on the offending muscle, while gently using that muscle to push back. This has seemed to give me control over how much of the muscle is involved in the exercise, as well as restricting its movement to tolerable levels. The general effect, though, is very much what you described, a contraction and relaxation cycle that works out the problem. Despite the severity last night, I only have a tired set of muscles this morning... I think my problems with this event, and with the bloodpressure cuff, is that these long muscles get extremely tight, until suddenly the smallest motion or pressure can be too much for them to handle. One of the things I'm wrestling with overall is -- how much of this tension is necessary? Because I seem to use that tension as a control over joints as I move, to keep them from slipping too far out, and as a feedback, to help me sense when those joints are slipping, but the tension needed to do that isn't something they endure well.
