Janie, I am pretty sure the extreme reaction to exercise is a sign

of adrenal fatigue. My adrenal test did not come out very bad, I

bottom out at the end of the day. Yet I still have had very

pronounced adrenal symptoms which I feel I am finally getting a hold

on. Kind of like you don't have to have really low thyroid to feel

like crap!

I saw a new doctor today, and she said many patients with chronic

fatigue and other " immune " problems feel much worse before their

periods. I have also read this on the endometriosis message board

I am on. She said the immune system is kind of down before you get

your period. I would guess it is a combination of lowered immune

response and decreased adrenal function.

Perhaps you haven't had really extreme adrenal symptoms while on

thyroid until now, when as you are much more perimenopausal, your

adrenals are supposed to kick in more and they just can't do the job.

I tried Cortef (got too bloated, gained weight), Isocort (made me

hyper), Adrenogen from Metagenics (just felt off) and now recently

have tried 's adrenal supplement from pigs which also

contains other glandulars from other endocrine glands. I like it,

seem to tolerate it pretty well. The thing that helped me

immediately from his book was taking salt water a couple times a

day, and at 1:30 or 2pm I take his Vitamin C, his Adrenal, magnesim

citrate and 500mg of panthotenic acid along with some B vitamins.

These are the basic vitamins that support the adrenals.

We are all so different in our reactions, I think you have to

experiment to see what works best for you. The salt water supports

one part of the adrenals, and the glandular supports other parts. I

had pretty immediate response to just the vitamin part of this also

before I got the adrenals in the mail.

I read Dr 's book and found out about the salt water. I tried it and

it really does help.
