Guest guest
I think it is a wonderful idea. When I was a counselor for children in grades k-4, I was always looking for books like this that helped to get conversations going, let kids know that they are not the only ones, and to convey knowledge. THey often would want to share this type of book with their family and friends. I was always going to write a kids book on divorce because I delt with so much of it at work and was accepted by the court systems as an expert witness in these cases. Then one day, a kids author came to interview me to get direction so SHE could write the book! UGHH! I did, actually , write about 6-8 books/ counselor guides on different topics ranging from bullying to peer pressure. Hmmmmm,. I wonder if that publisher would publish something like that? He is small time compared to most and focuses on things for Kids and problems. Not how he phrases it but can't remember how. Anyway, I also editted some of his stuff. You know, Jo, and Sharon, this would be a GREAT idea, and perhaps a fundraiser?? Just a thought, Jo. I don't know if you would have time or feel like doing this, but I bet there are a lot of parents that may like something like this for their kids. What does everyone else think??? Guest guest
Jo -- I think you should write a novel, too (seriously). You have a wonderful talent for writing and humor. Guest guest
Jo! This is why I admire you so much as a friend, family member and a confidant. You are always able to make people smile no matter what you are going through! I must say, I agree totally with everyone else about writing a childrens book. I am sure you could get funding from one of the EDS organizations for publications or even just leave it as a web article on one of the major sites for kids to read. I dont know how much I could do, but If i can be of any help just let me know! Hope you knee has decided against the long treak to the Peaks of Pelvis Stacey
