Guest guest
We home. 22 hours in 2 hospitals and he is no better. Why didn't they admit him? Who knows. Hospital # 1 says they can't handle his case, send him to hospital #2. #2 says well we don't handle kids with these kind of meds and, well, ahhh,, let's call the neurologist. Neurologist says well lets try some imatrex and if that doesn't work well, hmmm. I don't know. Well it didn't work, so they call his pain Dr. Well the pain Dr says see me two weeks after you see the head shrink, after he raises the Zoloft. Head shrink won't see him for a week. So they send us home, no better than we arrived. Told me to get him in to the neurologist ASAP. So when is the first opening? March. Can I scream yet? At least we are home. Dylans body pain is a 9. His migraine level is an 8. Sunglasses and earplugs in the dark. But at home, in his own bed. I have to say, this is the best pass the buck case I have seen yet. Put one of these Drs' kids in Dylan shoes. Would this have gone on for 14 months? I am so tired of the " But Ehlers Danlos isn't suppose to be this bad " Tonight, Sleep, Tomorrow Fight. Cindy C. PS Mike tried to help me find the needed points by email, but I just felt lost with out the pics of where to go. And his pain was just to high to be touched. Hey Mike, Can you send me a pic of that eyebrow point? Is there a body around the house?

And his pain was just to high to be touched. Hey Mike, Can you send me a pic of that eyebrow point? Is there a body around the house? > Cindy - I will see if I can get the wife to get the digital out tonight and get something posted or emailed to you. In the meantime, take a look at the picture of Dylan that you sent me and posted to the board. Look at the distance between his left eyebrow and his hairline. From the picture, it looks like if you had him looking straight ahead, the point would be in line with the center of his eye at the bottom edge of his hair. Another way to find it is if you lightly stroke your fingers downward on the forehead, the surface will be flat. Then you hit a slight edge of bone that forms part of eye orbital socket. The point is right there. Considering that his migraine is in full bloom at the moment and that he is extremely sensitive to touch, you may have difficulty touching him to use the points. So - try it off-body. Remember the Polarity variation I mentioned last night? Instead of using your finger tips, use the palms of your hands. If you can get him to sit up, stand on his left. Bring the palm of your right hand in just under the base of the skull. Cup your left palm over his forehead at the bottom of his bangs in that picture. Try to get your hands as close as is comfortable for him, but hopefully within at least three inches from the skin, or closer. When you are in this position, move your hands in a circular motion. In other words, you are standing with the edges of your hands toward the floor and your thumbs toward the ceiling. Just make a small circular motion with hands moving away from you, then down toward floor, back towards you, up and then away again. Try to keep the palms of your hands at the same distance from his head throughout the circular motion. The sensation you are looking for will be like a slight tickle or tingle in the middle of your palms. Direct contact working the points might be more effective, but sometimes you can't do it with migraines. This may be one of them, so the hands-off, off-body approach might be what you will have to try.

Guest guest
Ohhh Cindy :-C :'-( I'm so so sorry to hear. How DISSAPOINTING! I was hoping so much that since they transferred him to the children's hospital he would be okay and be looked after. Poor kid.... and you must be so exhausted. Hang in there Cindy....and please keep fighting. (((HUGS))) and hoping today is a more productive day dr. wise. Hey, maybe Jill could hook you up with another neurologist familiar with EDS that could take Dylan sooner? And there is always St. Judes... Thinking of you... -Rhea
