I find that I'm usually much better off if my doctor(s) and people at the hospitals know as much as I can tell them - even if it scares them!! Today before my tests, my doctor came into the room and said he had run the VEDS CD-rom and he was totally amazed. He basically said it was a very scary condition and did I want to have the tests. He was very concerned that he would hurt me. I told him I was very aware of the risks and I would like to go ahead with this tests. This doctor is known for his gentleness in doing GI tests and I had every confidence in him. The tests went fine - although he kept me in the hospital two hours longer just to be sure. He did talk to me after but, of course, I was all doped up so I don't remember a whole lot (have an appt on May 6). I guess he found some stomach polyps and removed one for testing, as well as doing biopsies. I think he also said that the lining (mucosa??) was not normal looking - probably the EDS. He didn't think it was cancer. I'm not sure if he was referring to the lining of my esophagus and/or my large intestine -- I know he said but I can't remember. Anyway I'm starting my list of questions for the 6th. I am just glad the tests are done!!!!!!! Hope things are going well for you, and, as always, my best wishes to you and everyone on list.
