Guest guest Posted October 26, 2004 Report Share Posted October 26, 2004 Hi , Are you aware that a folic acid deficiency can affect the thyroid output and make it appear that a person has a thyroid deficiency when in fact they have a folic acid deficiency?This happened to my son and what a difference it made once we got him on the folic acid. I do know if many of your mineral levels are low as well as iodine then your thyroid levels will show up low in a blood tests.
