On 19th Dec I had my pre- op appointment with the gyno and I'll be having a myo on 6th Feb. I was then given a pre-op injection prostap which I was told would block off the ovaries and stop my periods until after the op and so prevent excessive bleeding during the op.[Prostap could be a trade name- I'm UK based] At the time of the injection it was the end of my period and then I was shocked to find 2 weeks later I had another period. I phoned the clinic at the hospital who has told me that my body is probably confused and that I shouldn't have another period until after the op now.
