Hi! Sorry we got off on a bad start! Hope you'll stick around awhile! The

last week or so things have been really crazy and not too many posts have

gone through. Everyone has been busy because of the holidays and other

obligations. I am normally on every night from 9 pm - 12 am (give or take an

hour!). But, I have been gone with the flu since Christmas...(It was

terrible).

I live in the East...I keep wishing myself West...but it never happens :)

I have fibro and Arnold Chiari Malformation w/ syringomyelia. I am fimiliar

with Diabeties, but do not know how it would affect Fibro! I am sure a

million different ways! If you don't mind me asking, what is Peripheral

neuropathy???

Hoping you can find some help here since the holidays are nearly OVER!

Missy

< I joined this group because I thought it was supposed to be a support group

for those of us with FM/CFS. I sent an introduction some time ago. Then, I

sent a post a couple of days ago. Not one single person responded. All

these people writing about living in Texas, and no one even responded to the

fact that I just moved here. I mentioned having fibro, CFS, diabetes, and

peripheral neurophy and no one said anything to me about that.

>>

I am so sorry. No one meant to ignore you. I have peripheral neurophy,

diabetes (newly diagnosed) fibro, polyarthritis and tinnitus.

All on this group have more than one problem. There have been discussions on

diabetes. Jump in and give us your opinions on what is being discussed.

I guess it's just a support group for people who already know each other. As

if those of us with fibro, etc., didn't feel disconnected and isolated enough

already.

Actually we don't all know each other. We have had quite a few new members

join us this last couple of weeks. I could not tell you who they are as they

join in and start discussing or asking questions.

I am very sorry that you feel we have ignored you. That is not so. We do

not ignore anybody as we all need help. I am afraid I started the Texas

thing as I was surprised to find so many from Texas on this list. I do

apologize to you for making you feel that we are people that know each other

and were ignoring you. We never ignore anybody on this list.

What we have is to important to ignore anybody or help from anybody. If you

have something to say, say it. More than likely, someone will have a

response.

Take care,

Irene

< I go to a wonderful pain specialist who sent me to

physical therapy for 3 months (I just finished my last appt yesterday),

gives me VERY effective epidurals whenever I need them (I've had two in the

last month and am scheduled for another next week), and prescribes my all

pain medications, anti-spasmodics, osteoarthritis meds, antidepressants,

etc. >>

Welcome to our Group, !

It's a pleasure to have you and to share with you and

you with us. We're all battling a mystfying disease

that gets the better of us sometimes. But, with the

support of us all, we're making some progress, even

though it's slow at times.

I wish you a very Happy New Year, and again WELCOME!!
