Guest guest
Sorry to hear your meds are making you feel spaced out- I've not ever had anything do that to me- guess Im an odd ball....... but I have really researched it thru web ferret and apparently my doctor is trying to help the pain by taking away a strong dose of medication the avinza 90 and giving me more ( sugar pills ) to make it appear as If he were giving me stronger medications....... appears he is playing mental games with his patient......... Trash can is gettin nearer by the minute......... Hugs and hope you feel better- dont think I could stand feeling- spaced out. --------------------------------------------------------------------- " Are you still wasting your time with spam?... Guest guest
TJ, That just doesn't make since to change your med from something stronger to something less, but the Lortab has been strengthened somewhat, but fairy useless in my opinion. I don't know about the methadone, he's not writing you off, I don't think. Maybe just trying something different? Could you ask him about the Oxycontin? It's one of the best and a lot of us are on it. Hugs, S. Guest guest
Yep sure doesnt make sense- hmmmmmm- drug store too said, I highly doubt we would have that on hand that is a pretty potent drug, ( where i got my morphine) But he did it, obviously......I've already made the decision to not take either.......... No reason to end up with more problems of a different sort ( stomach ) over something that isnt going to reduce what is making me move at a snails pace...... I did mention Oxycontin to him- he said these medications are all the same , just a few different ingredients in some than the others but strengthwise all the same. So must be he doesnt give that one out............ not sure............ I hope you are getting some relief from it ..........the Oxycontin....... hugs, TJ TJ, That just doesn't make since to change your med from something stronger to something less, but the Lortab has been strengthened somewhat, but fairy useless in my opinion. Guest guest
TJ, HOGWASH on your Dr. These meds are not the same! How they try to pull the wool over peoples eyes ! It just makes them feel better, they changed something med wise .And most of the times the patient does not know the difference until they get home and look it up. They don't care! They will make us hurt worse in thinking we think they have done something positive for us! HOGWASH! Good luck my friend, see him again if you can! I know it hurts to go, but doesn't seem right. But try the methadone if you want but stay away from the Vicodin ES since it's hurt you before, the plain Vicodin! Hugs, S. Guest guest
Wont be going back- let alone talk to him........ I feel like a total fool....... Vicodin puts me in the hospital so no worries there- no one could pay me enough to go on them again....... Here he seemed shocked that the 90 mgs of avinza didnt touch me- then gives me sugar coated methadone- go figure........ I'm gonna get a life back- Im tired of being housebound........ I will just get up and get my drivers license again ......... and plug away at it and deal with the pain..... Am sure others are way worse off than me by far anyhow........ Guess no sleep night #4 is here for tonight.......... am too ticked now that I was 'stupid enough to accept lesser when I was feeling bad enough that I went to see him 2 months before my appointment and if anyone knows me well- I am the type that WILL NOT GO- but put myself out more and did and gosh I have this picture of them all with their hands over their mouths laughing as I painfully dealt with getting back into MY car that I havent driven for two year- my mother drives it And because why? Because I let myself believe Im ill- maybe the doctors lied and I dont even have EDS......... Maybe- Im perfectly normal physically and my body is just having normal aging pains and ruptures and aneurysms etc. I'm sitting here looking at the meds- then lookin at the trash can........... Not sure just yet what I will do....... but at the moment - the above is sounding pretty good to me. Perhaps my x is right......... I faked all of it......... Sorry to be such a pain to you all but dang Im hurting and being ridiculed while they are living normal daily lives..........I will shut up now- not another word about it- from me, because apparently the anger is just building and Im a total fool........ no wonder so many people like to hurt me- I am naieve as all get go...... nieve, naieve, niaive, how ever it is spelled- the definition for it is TJ. Good night all- sorry for these stupid e-mails from me......... God- to drive again- to have a job- what I wouldn't give to have that normality back. Hugs, S. Guest guest
TJ and Everyone, I have been on Morphine and it did not work at all. I was then put on a " lesser " med, and it works much better. Methadone is no light weight drug and with Vicodin for breakthrough........if it works better. Give it a try TJ, at least the methadone. And then call the doc back and tell him whether the Vicodin bothers your stomach or not. Sometimes just a brand name switch can make a difference. How are you surviving if your not taking these meds......you could go through some serious withdrawls. I hope you are still taking something. Do you need me to help fill out those papers if he did them already? Hugs, Sue

Guest guest
Even though I stated I won't be going back there- I did indeed call him last night and due to be after hours - his phone answering gal paged him and he basically stated that he could do nothing until morn and hoped I would wait it out- not needing to go to ER and just go back on the Avinza ( Morphine ) today. He seems that he does want to learn- told him I will print out some info on him. So- maybe once he reads these it will help to shine more light on it for him. Am sorry I seemed so upset but I just sometimes feel like Im going thru More heck than getting proper help. The doctors at ER last night though are very uninformed about EDS- they do not understand Chronic pain. So they gave the shot after a 4 hr wait and sent me home- but doctr there said, sure hope you get off these narcotics- they aren't good for aanyone . But you are right- if they could feel it daily - they would think differently. Hugs- TJ Wont be going back- let alone talk to him........ I feel like a total fool....... Vicodin puts me in the hospital so no worries there- no one could pay me enough to go on them again....... ~~~~~~~~ Oh TJ, I'm sooo sorry to hear that the MD is such a fool!!! Sounds like he just doesn't want to learn or " get it " Keep your meds for the future. They won't go " bad " , even after the expire date. You can vent here any time!!! And no, you're NOT faking it, making it up, or living a lie!!! You have pain, and all the problems associated with it... If people could just live in our bodies for a day...they'd GET IT!!
