I'm excited to hear of Washingtonians who live in the DRY PART!! Can you

give me some suggestions of regions that are " dry " ? So far, I know of

Desert Aire, and possibly Spokane. I eventually want to move there, as I

have family there and our daughter will be taking a job w/ Boeing after

she graduates in the spring. But my husband loves his sunshine, and I'll

have to find somewhere better than Olympia, where my sister lives. We

are now in Minnesota. It gets cold and snowy, but there is most always

sunshine.

Just to bring this back to topic, I have been officially on WW for about

6 weeks now and have lost 20 pounds. I was a hold-out for the longest

time because I thought points were just another way of counting calories

and I also thought the points I would get wouldn't be enough. But I kept

lurking on lots of WW sites and darned if everybody on WW and doing

points wasn't losing weight, and there I sat counting calories and not

getting anywhere. So I finally embraced points, bought a PDA, lost

weight over Thanksgiving and am in it for the long haul. Yahoo!

I am in Tri-Cities, right on the Columbia River. Pasco, Richland and

Kennewick are the name of the cities. Its very dry, windy, and lots of

spiders. Some love it here and have never left. Some, like me, can't

wait to leave. Anything on the East side of the Cascades will be dryer

to very dry. Moses Lake, Walla Walla (good onions!), Yakima. Spokane

is one of my favorites because there are actually tree's there.

There is a pretty strong WW group in Tri-Cities, plenty of meetings to

choose from. Let me know if you get real serious about moving to

Washington.
