Guest guest
, Well, I know how he feels. I felt like I was selling one of my children, every time someone bought one of my pieces. When I wasn't sure if they were very good, I gave them away to whoever expressed an interest, but when a gallery owner sent an agent to talk with me, and I had my first real show, I cried over every piece that went out the door. Isn't that silly? Tell him to stick with it. Having your moral support is very important. I had to fight my parents every inch of the way to stay in the arts, and I eventually tired of the battle and took a regular job to support my art habit. If they had offered any encouragement at all, I think I could have gone on in the arts as a full time profession. Heaven knows I devoted enough hours to it as it is. LOL Happy Birthday, again.
