Adding: My ferritin was 113 as of late January.

Currently on 35 mg HC and 75 mcg T3 (split into 6 doses over the

day,

taken sublingually.)

Was on 30 mg HC 1 month before starting T3. Temps were stable before

starting T3. Had initial temp rise, but now temps are between 97.7 and

98.3. Upped HC to 35 mg on Monday. Palps (I assume that's what it is;

feels like my heart is going to jump out of me) are slightly relieved

with Salt Water (taking 10 oz with 1 t. Redmond Real Salt, since that's

what I have on hand.) Can/should I take more than one glass of sea salt

a day? (I'm picking up Himalayan today, to see if that makes a dif.)

Pulse is low 60's upon waking, low-mid 70's during the day,

occasionally

as high as high 80's.

Tried increasing T3 yesterday by 6.25 mcg, and was up, heart thumping,

until 1:30 am, and then up fresh as a daisy at 7:00 this morning! I

don't mind the increased energy, though it feels foreign! But the wonky

temps, palpitations, and ANXIETY--feeling edgy and nervous--I can do

without.

I've read through the rt3 website, read through the

archives...Apparently I'm missing something. Can you help me find the

missing piece?

Thanks,

Anxiety can often be low cortisol or low ferritin

Ferritin can give false readings if there is inflammation going on. It

may well be worth getting a full iron panel and posting the results

for Val when she's back from break

Palps can be a hypo symptom, are they worse 30 mins from taking a dose

or when you are nearly ready for the next dose???

I'll observe closely today; at this point I'm thinking they're worse

before next dose.

Re Ferritin/Iron: Panel from January:

Iron, Serum 63 (35 - 155)

Iron and TIBC

Iron Bind. Cap. (TIBC) 285 (250-450)

UIBC 222 (150-375)

Iron Saturation 22 (15-55)

Ferritin, Serum 113 (10-291) Down from 120 in October.

I do have high inflammation, so I see how the Ferritin reading may be

falsely high, given the Iron panel. I'll be more consistent with my

iron supplements...I hate taking them. :(

Should I increase the salt water?

Thanks,

Hi ,

I have had a bad time with palps myself recently. For me, they happen when

cortisol is too low as they are much worse before I'm due to a dose of HC. Since

I know palps are considered more hypo symptoms, I don't know if it's because the

t3 can't get inot the cells without the HC or what.

The other thing that seems to have really helped them is taking potassium. I

know that when my HC dose is over 20, my potassium goes too low. Sometimes,

sodium, too.

I have been using the NOW powdered potassium chloride. Cheap and works and

seemed to help within a couple of days.

It can't hurt to try more salt water, either, and see what happens. It won't

hurt anything to try it.

Can you repost these when Val is around again

Gut feel says it's a false high but I don't know enough about iron

labs

>

>Should I increase the salt water?

If pulse rate goes up or sodium lab goes low then yes.
