Guest guest
>To my knowldge, it nearly every state it is possible to get a religious or medical exemption from vaccination. Religious or philosophical exemption is easier to get because it requires less " proof " unlike medical. Be aware that many doctors and even school administrators will tell you its the law and that you have no choice. Most of the time this is not true. Be educated and have the written proof in front of you when they try intimidation tactics. Stand your ground! Tina
Guest guest
I at first wanted to follow Dr. Cave's recommendations. At four mos, however, I could not allow vax to start. I just stopped doing well visits, primarly because she only got sick 1-2 wks after going in to begin with, secondly because one of the peds blessed me out. So mostly the only times they see us is when she's sick, and most of the time they aren't overly concerned with her vaccines. If they say anything I tell them I can't do it that day because she's ill. Also, if your child has an allergy to eggs and gelatin that can be a reason to avoid the vaccines. After one they don't get the Hib, is it? The DaPT package insert says serious consideration should be given when a first-degree relative has a neurological disorder, autism counts as. Hep B isn't needed at all when you are a stay-at- home, I am. I have a family history of thimerosal allergy that also gives me cause about any vax. I found out my mother is very sensitive to it. That pretty much takes care of them. I use a religious exemption for my state. HTH, Debi
Guest guest
Hi, I didn't read the first message, but here is an excellent link of exemption letters by state for the school districts. Good luck! www.unhinderedliving.com/statevaccexemp.html > I at first wanted to follow Dr. Cave's recommendations. At four mos, > however, I could not allow vax to start.
