Im so glad this group is here. I cant wait to get home at night to read the

day's postings. Thankyou to the folks who interjected their humor last week

when I was so down. Iam turning 50 next week and I have only been aware I have

fibroids for a couple of months. I'm past childbearing and ready to be a

grandma so some of my issues obviously are different but I worry about many of

the

same things, adhesions, sexual function, buttoning my pants again!! I saw my

ob gyn doc last week and she doesnt seem to think the pain I'm having is

entirely fibroid. The pain sometimes feels like a crowbar is tearing my hips

apart, in the back and my right hip mostly but also up above the hip, hot

sensations down the leg and tenderness. Abdomen is swollen and I feel ungainly

and

bloated. Has anyone heard of a connection between sciatica and uterine pain?? I

have 4 fibroids (nothing large), 2 golf balls and a ping pong ball sized, and a

degenerating tumor that is dilating my cervix. It is now quite small (cherry

sized). At first they thought it was a 5th fibroid and the 4th one (small

orange-sized) had degenerated. How accurate are those ultrasounds?? Should I

ask

for a second opinion? This visit she said she wants me to see a back

specialist for av evaluation for the pain. I hate hydrocodone they prescribe for

pain

and over the counter options werent taking the edge off so I went to

homeopathy. I found a connection right away...kali carbonium for

sciatica/uterine pain. In 3 days I had a pain-free nights rest and I can sit in

the chair

again...funny thing is I can FEEL my uterus and have more cramping but

nothing I cant handle... Huge improvement...placebo or connection? ?? Inquiring

minds want to know!! Amyone else heard this?
