Guest guest
Hi Garry , Welcome to the group!! You must have a very supportive wife to have gone through the process to find a support group for you......She has found you a good one.......the wonderful people here have saved my life.......when I was looking for a support group.......I was very depressed and completely isolated from the world and really suffering with not knowing what to expect, and how I would make it through the rest of my life. The Lupies brought me out of my shell and into a world of caring , interesting and very smart people via my computer.....(His name is "Lamar" by the way) He is my link to the outside world.....and I swear he has his own personality so I thought he should have his own name.! I live alone and am disabled.....so I can't care for a pet, I love animals and really miss the dogs I had before I became to ill to care for them......Where in Texas do you live? I also live in Texas.....in Arlington......Thats between Dallas and FT.Worth. I'm 60 yrs. old ....been single now for about 28 yrs......I have 4 grown children.....5 grand children.....and 2 great grand children....I was diagnosed with Lupus at the age of 54.....Though I realize now that I have had symptoms for many years. I was very depressed and received SSD for major depression a couple of years before I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism....then Lupus........We all just thought I was crazy!!.......Well I guess I AM Crazy.....I.ve got papers to prove it !.....But now I know why.....Lupus can be very crazy making. You certainly have a lot to deal with.....and just remember that we are here to support you when you need us .....and maybe even share a few laughs with. I also suffer from raynauds, severe depression, pleurisy, avascular neucrosis in my left hip. I also have anticoagulant lupus, migrains and of course a history of TIA's. I just recently had a pace maker installed and my right hip replaced. I am disabled and have been that way since April '01. I have a wife and 2 kids. My wife found this group and thought that it might help me out to get into a "support" group. I am looking forward to chatting with everyone."The LUPIES Store" Come check out our store...http://www.cafepress.com/thelupies"The LUPIES Web Page"http://www.itzarion.com/lupusgroup.html"The LUPIES online photo albums!"
