Guest guest Posted February 23, 2004 Report Share Posted February 23, 2004 Dear Mike, Please, please be careful......that's how I fell and broke my leg in 2000,..trying to hang drapes.....one `wonky' moment as I looked up.....and wham ! C. Re: Quiet Hey, Brat, I wish. No shopping for this lady until payday. And, then it's just groceries until myyoungest's birthday on the 3rd. I, for one, have been trying to take down the living room drapesto wash them. I'm half afraid the only thing holding them together is the dirt. They've been up foralmost 8 years. Isn't that disgusting? Ick. I don't know what I was thinking...must have been a majorbrain fart to forget them for this long. So, I am doing one window at a time. So far, I have gottenthe drapes off two windows, one set is in the washer and one in the dryer. I won't be able to rehangthem until I can clean the windows, and one of them is behind the entertainment center in the corner,so I'll have to get Randy to climb up on a stool and use a towel covered broom to bring down allthe dust and cobwebs. I have been resting in between each little task, so as not to get so tired. Islept most of the weekend away, when I wasn't doing errands that couldn't wait. I was so exhaustedafter one trip through Costco on Saturday morning with my adopted mother, that I came home intears. Must be a combination of the damp, cold weather and the stress with the school this lastweek. My body is rebelling big time. I told Normi I am setting up a dinner party for six on the 13th of March to celebrate St. Paddy's. Iused to give a corned beef dinner for 40 every year, complete with Irish folk songs and all. But, I amjust not up to that any more. I sure miss all the entertaining I used to do sometimes...along withcamping...painting trips...hiking...eesh...better stop thinking about what I can't do and concentrate onwhat I CAN. No pity parties for this gal. Nuh-uh. Gotta take the first drape out of the dryer.More later. Hope your day is going well for you. Guest guest Posted February 23, 2004 Report Share Posted February 23, 2004 Yea .. it was quiet today.. I turned on the computer and my eyes rebelled at the sight of the white screen. So I turned it off! I spent most of the day babying my migraine (lying in a pitch black room with a cloth over my head) and waiting for the meds to kick in. I spent the afternoon in the doctor's office, came home and crashed again. I am just wiped out today.. too many breathing treatments.. not enough breath to function well.. and my head is frigging killing me! and my hubby wondered why I was in such a foul mood when I screamed at him to stop! He was making all the dogs howl by pretending he was howling too. 3 howling shepherds and one howling hubby was just too much .. so I howled back! now it is very very quiet here... smiles..
