Guest guest
Some of you may have seen my city on CNN yesterday! I was sitting having lunch out with my daughter and my cell phone rang. My sister in law was calling to be sure we were ok. She told me that Richmond was on the news and Ilooked up at the TV in the bar area to see that Richmond was in flames!! It was the biggest fire since Richmond burned during the Civil War! It started in a dumpster at a work site and spread over a four block area with the help of wind, sending fireballs the size of basketballs! It burned down folks homes, a brand new dorm for VCU and many businesses, cars, etc. It only took minutes to spread and even jumped over 8 lanes of I95! Luckily there was only one fatality... a 41 one year old woman who had her oxygen cut off when the power went and she did'nt make it to the hospital in time!! Boy, we are so lucky aren't we! Guest guest
Oh my God, , I missed this somehow! How horrible. I think fire is so scary! And here my hubby used to be a volunteer firefighter! I'm so glad you're OK, and that more weren't killed. It will take awhile to repair all this! Love Lana RICHMOND ON FIRE! Some of you may have seen my city on CNN yesterday!
