Guest guest
Why did your C+ have to be revised, If I may ask? Schiller BHR 3/12/02 DeSmet > > I had my resurfaced hip revised to a large-head THR eight weeks ago. I just had my first post-op X-rays taken, and it was a little shocking to see how much metal I know have in me. My doctor also released me to start swimming again, and I noticed a change when I got into the water these past few days. > > Before either surgery I would swim 1/2 mile each day, so I'm a fairly accomplished swimmer. I breathe every third stroke, so I take in air on each side. I notice that I keep gulping in water when I take a breath on my right side (same side as my THR), and I'm starting to think I've become less buoyant since I receive my THR, especially on the right side. It's kind of like swimming with a lead weight in your pocket. > > Maybe my newfound ballast should make me consider taking up scuba diving instead. > > ph K. Guest guest
I made them postpone the hearing until 2/17/04. They didn't want to do it, but I got them on a procedural point. Last week I heard from the state attorney general. I filed a complaint and they've started their inquiry. The insurance company has backtracked a little--now they say they'll pay 80%. That's nice, but I'm not stopping until they agree to pay it all. This weekend I plan to pull everything together and finalize my presentation. Come Tuesday morning, I'll be all ready.
