Guest guest
Has anyone used Activated charcoal when chelating? The theory behind it is that while chelating the charcoal would soak up all the heavy metals that are being excreted out through the bile. Is it true that activated charcoal does not get absorbed into the bloodstream, yet soaks up the heavy metals and toxin from the bile or heavy metal containing food that is eaten? Is there anything dangerous about activated charcoal? If all my assumptions are accurate than I think using this supplement while chelating would increase excretion of the heavy metals while not grabing more from the body like just upping the dosage of a chelator (ALA, DMPS, DMSA) would. Does anybody have experience using Activated charcoal while chelating or detoxing? ~
Guest guest
great question . AFAIK activated charcoal is used by EMS for detox. maybe mix in water, drink, and 30 minutes later have some oil and an egg for the bile. -phil-
Guest guest
????? I never thought of that... I just gave my son some charcoal and I still have not finished his round. I gave it to him because I gave him some oil of oregano which seems to have caused yeast die-off. I am actually concerned that the charcoal could absorb the ALA, so I waited 1h after a dose to give it to him. > Has anyone used Activated charcoal when chelating? Guest guest
The problem is, that the activated charcoal doesn't just absorb heavy metals, but nutrients as well. Your child might become deficient. Dagmar. [ ] Activated charcoal- in addition to Chelators (AlA, DMPS, DMSA)? Has anyone used Activated charcoal when chelating?
