Hi, all,

Just read Deanna's post and the other(s) related to this problem and thought I'd add something...at the World Congress, a couple of rheumies talked about the close proximity of lungs and heart and how problems with one can mimic or feel/sound like initially the other. This is especially true in pleurisy and pericarditis (inflammations around the sac of the lungs and heart respectively). Deanna, you might want to suggest that your doc consider these possibilities. I seem to recall that the docs said that in pericarditis, symptoms were most pronounced when the patient was lying down...It's worth a consult!

Hope you're all doing better real soon!

Once, my dad had percarditis so bad that with a stethascope you could

hear water sloshing when he would move from side to side. His doctor

heard it and let me listen. His biggest complaint then was that his

lungs were too heavy for him to breathe. Just my $0.02.
