Guest guest
Well I thought about it and I decided that I'm going to give it the college tri. There is TONS of support on the Danskin...the place is lousy with volunteers. If I get sick, I can just bail. But if I don't try, I think I'll be disappointed in myself. So today I'm going to go get body marked and rack my bike. If I wake up tomorrow with an alien protruding from my lower intestine, or more clog dancing going on from the troll living there, I simply won't go. But otherwise I will. I'll just take it easy and relax knowing I'm not out to set any personal bests, just beat this troll! I'm not going to let some drooling, one-eye-per-family-sharing, stomping around children eating, creature from Norse mythology keep me from doing something I've worked so hard for! So I just got up (yeah, it's 4:00 a.m.) and lubed my bike and talked sweetly to her and gave her a little kiss. I'm going to check tire pressure later this morning and give it a run about the neighborhood so she can work out her friskiness. She's been in the stall for three weeks now. The race starts Sunday morning at 7:00 a.m.! I'll be doing my gratitude prayers in the water at some point in there, so if anyone wants a damp prayer sent up for them let me know. (It helps me relax while I swim if I pray for other people and think about what things I am grateful for.) Woo! I'm like Steve Erwin pumped here, Mate!
