I'm glad and sorry at the same time, glad it's TMJ and not mastoiditis! But

sorry it's something else new to add to the ongoing list of health issues.

Do you see a dentist next? I'm glad your husband is starting to get it,

maybe someday my husband will. TTYL. S.

I told him how Bonnie told me about TMJ in EDS. He said, " no, it's not

interesting, it's very upsetting " .

an inexpensive jaw gaurd until we can get to the dentist to have one made.

Another few hundered dollars for that dentist. I swear, we've paid his

yearly salary already!

write down EDS type 3, hypoglycemia, and sulfa allergy. I may get one for

too.

gone. said she's fuming mad about our case. I'll call her back

when I get back from the grocery store. That should be interesting.

said she said something about suing the school! That may be going

too far. But, I'm interested to see what she has to say.

days. I need you vent to you, and you all are so supportive. I know I'd be

in that hospital by now if I didn't have you all!

- I'm glad that there is no infection! I know about TMJ because I have

had it myself and still have it. I wear a soft mouth guard at night as I'm a

clencher and clicker!

With 's back problems, it can cause the cervical/jaw joints to be out of

alignment too...

Try Mike's accupressure points first to see if that will help.

My had TMJ too and she got a hard/rigid mouth guard but she didn't

continue wearing it.

I had braces as a teen, besides have congenital anomalies in the jaw joint

that had contributed to the TMJ. I also had my teeth ground down in the back as

they were too long. That helped tremedously. One orthodontist wanted to put me

in braces after wearing a hard mouth guard for over a year, then have my upper

jaw separated, shave off 4mm of bone, and wire everything back together. I'm

soooo glad I refused to go any further than the mouth splint.... I knew that my

body didn't repair itself very well (pre EDS dx, mind you).

Be conservative with all the treatments for TMJ....if you have to see several

dentists/specialists before deciding on a treatment... Maybe Mike can work on

some more....keeping my fingers crossed for you!
