I have had red dots with bumps on my upper arms for as long as I can

remember. I was told they are from a B-12 deficiency. Since I have

started taking a Vitamin B complex supplement the last few years, they

have gone away completely - no more dots and smooth arms. And by the

way, I do not have CD.

I have never heard of that term, but yes I have them on my arms. They run in my

family though, and I'm the only Celiac.

Do any of you who have Celiac have petechiae? These are tiny tiny red

pinpoint sized spots usually on the legs but not necessarily. I am

wondering if they are common with Celiac. Thank you.

I don't believe that petechiae are " bumps " . I think they are red or

purple (as they fade) spots on your skin, but not raised. They are

like tiny hemorrhages of your blood vessels.

That really confuses me. Is there a lichen that is something other

than I know? I thought that lichens were tiny organisms from a

fungus. He said the spots you have are little organisms?
