From what i hear, probably still better than most european facilities. Good to hear they are moving to SM UCLA. It is a very nice facility. Tim you've been listening to the wrong people. Hip surgery started in Europe and according to the World Health Organization we are all much of a muchness in the quality of hospitals. Europe is still the preferred alternative for a large number of Americans - a number of which have already written stating what they have found. What do you hear and from where? What experience have you of Europe? I suggest you read the comments of the likes of Dr Vince and others. One of your countrymen recently mentioned the likes of BMW & Mercedes cars, Rolls Royce Jet Engines when referring to technological innovation. Another of your countrymen mentioned that social medicine works - instead of paying an insurance company you pay the State (government). I hope you understand that Europeans can sometimes be a little fraught by comments like 'from what I hear' .
