Kori,

No the laces don't bother her. I don't really understand what you

mean about is her foot tall? She has short legs and the laces when

tied sit below her ankle. At first i removed the tongues and tighten

the strap where you could see 2 or 3 holes, but this was still

causing red marks but her sore was healing that she got from the

tongues. So now what I do is buckle the strap until you see one hole

showing and then i tighten the laces all the way up really good and

now she has no red marks. Her heel is still down to. She has a chubby

top foot so I think that when the strap is tightened really tight it

makes it redder. I tried this with the tongues in tighten the laces

tight but not the strap as tight but it didn't work at all. So the

root of the problem is the tongues. They are not as wide as the old

ones. I mean she has always had red marks but never sores like with

these new shoes. Now no red marks. She may have a little redness

right when I take off the shoes in the morning but by the afternoon

they are gone completely.

I would give it a try. Maybe it will work with you guys. I hope it

lasts for us for a long time. I would have people ask why she had

redmarks on her feet were they sores ? So then I had to give them the

whole story. Just remember tighten the laces as tight as you can

without breaking them and then i tie her laces with 4-6 bows so no

string is hanging because she likes to untie. Just put the strap not

as tight. What the tongue would do is pinch the skin when the strap

would be tighten on it. The tighter you buckled them the more it

would pinch. Let me know how it works for you. I hope I helped you.

Have a great weekend
