Guest guest Posted February 22, 2004 Report Share Posted February 22, 2004 Hi everyone, Just wanted to let everyone know, that I am going to be sending a bunch of information pertaining to Osteonecrosis to the board. Many of you may have this problem and not even be aware of it. What I thought was just simple knee pain has turned out to be a nightmare for me. I have been diagnosed with Osteonecrosis of the knee (right knee) both medial and lateral but this disease can and mostly affects the hips. Check out the info I send. See if it pertains to you, if it does, maybe it’s time to talk with your doctor about it. The first stages of it will not show up on a regular X-ray it is as it progresses that it will show up. Mine show’s up on a regular X-ray and will be having an MRI Thursday to see what stage I am in. My orthopedic surgeon didn’t like the way it looked on the regular X-ray and already has started discussing a total knee replacement.
