Hi Again all,

One thing I failed to mention was that both my father and brother had

breast cancer. This is something that seems to be a new concept to a

lot of physicians. They rarely ask, " did your father have breast

cancer? " I have two sons and a daughter. My daughter tested positive

for BRCA2 and has had a prophylactic hysterectomy and anticipates a

prophylactic double mastectomy. She's waiting as she is only 46, but

she has fabulous health care and is getting regular mammos, sonagrams,

mri's, etc. I'm still working on my sons who seem to be high in denial!

They fear getting tested, so I have some serious work to do. I think

men have a lot more difficulty telling their physicians to check their

breasts for lumps.

I have heard of only a few men having breast cancer but they should be checked

at the same time they have their prostate exam.
