Guest guest
HI Debbie, YOu will get all kinds of books at your first meeting to read, and then there will be a meeting just for new people too. BAsically Core just lets you eat until you are " satisfied " of a certain group of whole foods and then you get 35 bonus points a week to use on other processed foods if you like. Flex is basically counting calories/fat/fiber. It seems more complicated, but I was afraid that I could still overeat on core so I chose that option and it has worked well for me, but lots of people do well on core too. bye cindy duffduff wrote: Hi, I am new here! I am Debbie from Vermont. At almost 50 yrs old I am starting WW tonight for the first time. I am confused about the various WW programs, flex, core, etc. I know they will be explained in detail, but to be honest I am so nervous I don't know how much I will absorb from my first meeting. Could someone please give me a tiny synopsis of what these programs are and the advantages to them? I do not want to do low carb if that is what the core program is as I have tried that and felt terrible. Thanks in advance. Debbie

Guest guest
Hi Debbie, Cindy gave you a great explanation of the two programs. After you receive all the new member information and read through it, we can help you sort through it. I remember feeling the same nervousness along with skepticism when I first began WW, and this group was a big help to me with my zillion questions! Oh...and if you don't feel like you " click " with your WW leader, be sure to try another meeting time with another leader. There are all sorts of leader personalities and styles, and there's sure to be one that you connect with! Best wishes to you!
